Zone of the Enders theme song writer releases first original album

Following close to two decades working as an in-house sound creator, Maki Kirioka (Zone of the Enders, Tokimeki Memorial) recently left behind Procyon Studio in order to go freelance. Marking this occasion, the composer has released her debut album, Owl and I through her personal label Seed-time records.

Spanning eleven tracks, the album blends vocal performances from the “Beyond the Bounds” theme song writer with organic instrumental performance. The album was recorded by Kirioka (vocals, instruments) in collaboration with her long-term composition partner Hiroshi ‘Naoto’ Tanabe (engineering, instruments). Owl and I can be previewed above and is available for download for 1500 JPY on iTunes Japan now.
