Where the Water Tastes like Wine OST now available

Where the Water Tastes Like Wine has just been released on Bandcamp. The soundtrack, which has been available for preorder, already garnered attention from outlets like GameSpot and Gamasutra for its variety and expert takes on American genres.

“Working on this soundtrack has been a dream come true for a lot of reasons,” says composer Ryan Ike.  “I’ve always been really interested in how music can change and take on a life of its own as people share it, and getting to explore that idea with WTWTLW’s world map theme (which shifts styles and influences depending on where you are in the country) was awesome.”

Ike is best known for his past work on West of Loathing and BAFTA nominated Gunpoint. The game takes place through several narratives woven together, and features several prominent voice actors including 16-time Grammy winner Sting. The score incorporates a variety of artists, styles, and songs, and can be purchased on Bandcamp.

A native and lifelong Texan, I currently work in software education while contributing news, reviews, and interviews to VGMO on the side. I love the feeling that comes with the discovery of a brand new soundtrack, and always look forward to the next rekindling of that excitement. Outside of VGMO, I enjoy playing piano, listening to classical music and film scores, and trying to go unnoticed in any stealth RPG I can find.
