New concert (October 6, New York) to feature Austin Wintory’s works
On Monday October 6, Grammy-nominated composer Austin Wintory (Journey, Monaco, The Banner Saga) will conduct a concert dedicated to his works. Entitled Mythos, the concert will showcase modern orchestral music from video games, television, film, and concert works. The organisers of the concert have kept program details intentionally quiet so that the concert itself will be full of surprises. They promise:
All of the music has been composed in the last several years, and will be performed without pause. Printed concert programs will be withheld until the end of the concert so that all may enjoy the listening pleasure that comes from not knowing what’s next!
Mythos will be performed by the new chamber group The Fifth Estate and the dynamic choir Choral Chameleon. Produced by Peter Sachon, the concert will coincide with the New York Super Week festival. Mythos will be held at the Kaufman Concert Hall at the 92nd Street, New York Y from 7 PM. Tickets can be purchased here.
