Michael McCann returns to Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

Square Enix officially unveiled Deus Ex: Mankind Divided today with an impressive announcement trailer. A sequel to Deus Ex: Human Revolution set in 2029, the game will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in a not-so-distant future.

The credits for the trailer reveal that Michael McCann is returning as the composer for Mankind Divided. His cyberpunk soundtrack for Human Revolution won widespread acclaim, noted by us for capturing the struggle between the natural and the technological with its hybridised sounds.

Mankind Divided‘s trailer music indicates that the game’s score will develop on the concept of its predecessor with its brooding electro-acoustic soundscapes. It even quotes passages from “Icarus”, the main theme for Human Revolution. Listeners can also stream the music through Eidos Montreal’s SoundCloud.
