Mark Knight marks return to game composition with F1 and Overlord titles
Mark ‘TDK’ Knight gained great acclaim in the 90s through his contributions to the Amiga demoscene and his scores for video game franchises such as Dungeon Keeper, Populous, and Duke Nukem. The artist has spent much of the last decades as an audio director at Codemasters on franchises such as F1, DiRT, and GRID. However, he hasn’t scored a single game since 1999’s Dungeon Keeper 2.
This summer, Knight will mark his long-awaited return to game composition with two new titles for Codemasters. He created the music for the racing game F1 2015, which is due out PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC next week. He promises a 50-minute soundtrack that will feature a “new style from the previous Codemasters F1 games”.
In addition, the artist has co-composed the music for Overlord: Fellowship of Evil together with Unreal series composer Michiel van den Bos. The latest instalment in the twisted action RPG series will be released in August again for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
