Kyle Landry and Braxton Burks release Bacon Man Original Soundtrack

Celebrity pianist Kyle Landry has teamed up with Pokémon Reorchestrated’s Braxton Burks to release their original soundtrack to Bacon Man. The game is a Kickstarter-funded action-adventure platformer by Skymap Games, released on Steam last week. The soundtrack features all kinds of styles, from ragtime to EDM to rock, and a plethora of piano, as can be expected from Landry.

Bacon Man has the brutal gameplay difficulty of platformers like Mega Man X paired with the cartoonish charm of kooky, irreverent games from the ’90s and early 2000s — cult classics like Earthworm Jim and Conker’s Bad Fur Day come to mind,” says Burks. “To match the zaniness of the game’s themes, we wrote a soundtrack that is equally bonkers. Underlying most of the soundtrack is a bombastic orchestra sound, but genre-wise, we go all kinds of places. Wagnerian orchestra, Grant Kirkhope-esque diddies, EDM, funk, rock… you name it, they made us write it.”

Bacon Man Original Soundtrack is available on digital storefronts, and can be purchased on Bandcamp here.

A native and lifelong Texan, I currently work in software education while contributing news, reviews, and interviews to VGMO on the side. I love the feeling that comes with the discovery of a brand new soundtrack, and always look forward to the next rekindling of that excitement. Outside of VGMO, I enjoy playing piano, listening to classical music and film scores, and trying to go unnoticed in any stealth RPG I can find.
