Jeff van Dyck releases Assault Android Cactus and Submerged soundtracks

Jeff van Dyck, the veteran composer of the Total War and Need For Speed series, has been extremely busy working on a number of projects in the past year. Between his epic score for Hand of Fate and his upcoming work on Dark Nexus Arena, he has also fitted in two delightful indie projects.

Van Dyck has released the Assault Android Cactus Original Soundtrack on his Bandcamp. Inspired by intense upbeat action of the game, the electronically-oriented score features some surprising experiments from the composer.

In stark contrast is his Submerged Original Soundtrack, which takes listeners on a “voyage of mystery, discovery and melancholy” with 13 piano and string quartet compositions.

About the Author

I've contributed to websites related to game audio since 2002. In this time, I've reviewed over a thousand albums and interviewed hundreds of musicians across the world. As the founder and webmaster of VGMO -Video Game Music Online-, I hope to create a cutting-edge, journalistic resource for all those soundtrack enthusiasts out there. In the process, I would love to further cultivate my passion for music, writing, and generally building things. Please enjoy the site and don't hesitate to say hello!
