Adventures of Mana composer and soundtrack details

Back in 1991, Seiken Densetsu aka Final Fantasy Adventure was released for the Game Boy, complete with a charming chiptune soundtrack from Kenji Ito. The game and its music were first remade as 2003’s Sword of Mana (GBA). This year, it is being remade once more for smartphones and PlayStation Vita under the title Adventures of Mana.

Ito returned to produce the soundtrack for the remake. Liberated by the advance technology of the platform, Ito was able to produce the soundtrack with high-quality instruments for the first time, as evidenced by the arrangement of series’ main theme “Rising Sun”. It is hinted that Ito did not arrange all the tracks himself and also supervised some externally-produced arrangements.

On March 30, Square Enix Music will release the Seiken Densetsu -Adventures of Mana- Original Soundtrack. The two-disc soundtrack will feature all the music as heard in the game, as well as exclusive bonus tracks. It will retail for 3000 JPY and will be available for pre-order at import stores imminently.
