Ubiktune releases jazz-fusion chipdisc Waveform 5
In time for New Year’s Eve, revered chiptune label Ubiktune has released the mini-album Waveform 5.
Waveform 5 is the fifth installment in a series of chipdiscs from music composer and producer Joshua Morse of Onslaught! and Sonata of the Damned fame. The mini-album draws its sounds from mostly FM synthesis along with a dash of NES to form a blend of 5 original jazz-fusion arrangements. The album can be sampled below and bought for 5 USD on Bandcamp.
After a hiatus, Ubiktune have been back on full form in the last few months, with releases including the concept album The Lighthouse from Kartmaze, the spacey Labyrinth from Monomer, and the tribute album FriendChip from Yoann Turpin.
