Chris Huelsbeck continues success with second Kickstarter campaign
Legendary composer Chris Huelsbeck (Turrican, Giana Sisters) achieved great success in 2012 with his Kickstarter campaign to produce Turrican Soundtrack Anthology. This month, he launched a follow-up campaign to produce Chris Huelsbeck – The Piano Collection. Just days into the campaign, Huelsbeck has already smashed his main goal and several stretch goals.
The album will feature the greatest hits by Chris Huelsbeck performed on piano, as well as a limited edition printed and bound score book. In close collaboration with Huelsbeck, fan-arranger Patrick Nevian (Amiga meets Piano) will arrange and perform the music. Included are pieces from The Great Giana Sisters, Turrican, Apidya, R-Type, Gem’X, Extreme Assault, Jim Power, and a few surprises. The album will also be accompanied by a score book, featuring both faithful transcriptions of the recordings and beginner-friendly additional scores, as well as a biography on the composer.
The digital and physical albums are available to those who pledge 19 USD and 29 USD respectively, while those who pledge more are eligible to receive the score book and other goodies. Fore more information and samples, check out the Kickstarter campaign.

It’s interesting that they’ve decided to have the route of beginner and more advanced scores. I hope the advanced ones are fairly elaborative. I also hope this breaks 60k. Always nice to have more content, and its so close! I’ll admit I don’t know Huelsbeck’s music that well, but I hear a lot about him around here so I backed this!
Your money is well-spent! Once you hear Huelsbeck’s music, you’ll instantly become a fan! I have no doubts that this album will be just as great as his previous Turrican Kickstarter!
