It’s good to see Stephen Rippy still working, as I LOVE his music in Halo Wars! I’m not all that familiar with his Age of Empires material, or his Age of Mythology work, for that matter. But what little I’ve heard through samples of iTunes etc sounded awesome! & his band, The Presumptions is some good stuff too!
With a decent archive of music behind him, it’s nice to see him finally stepping out of the shadows & doing a solo album, after a long period of time in the background.
I was surprised to learn that this is actually his tenth solo album — he’s very prolific as a solo artist. However, the work seems to be very different from his game works and goes mostly for an indie pop/rock sound. I really recommend his Age of Empires/Mythology scores. I’m honestly not a big Halo follower, so haven’t listened to Halo Wars closely.
