Vincent Diamante debuts music from Sky

Audio director for thatgamecompany’s latest game Sky, Vincent Diamante, has given fans a first look at his score and design philosophy through IGN First. Diamante’s previous works include thatgamecompany’s other titles Flower and Cloud, as well as contributing to the score for Skullgirls.

Diamante suggests that the focus on woodwind instruments is a result of the game’s focus on flying. He also went on to say that “I purposely made the score for this game very, very simple. I wanted there to be no music that I couldn’t play myself, as a beginning instrumentalist.”

The music debuted is called ‘The Gate’ and is one of the first tracks that appear in the game. Sky releases next year on iOS.
