Jessica Curry’s score to So Let Us Melt now available
Jessica Curry, who made a splash with her innovative scores to Dear Esther and Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, has just released her latest soundtrack on Bandcamp and vinyl. So Let Us Melt is the latest game out of The Chinese Room and is a highly stylized Daydream VR game with some creation myth and folklore elements. The game, which was released September 21, is accompanied by yet another stunning chroal score by Curry, complete with traditional and modern elements.
“So Let Us Melt fuses choral traditions with contemporary minimalism, joyful and moving string and harp with playful electronics and samples,” says The Chinese Room director Dan Pinchbeck. “In So Let Us Melt, we hear a composer utterly at ease with her own unique and developing voice, breaking beyond themes and accents to create a sonic journey that perfectly captures the bittersweet wonder and myth-building of the game. This is an album full of warmth and life and it is unlike any other soundtrack you will hear this year.”
The soundtrack to So Let Us Melt is available on Bandcamp for 8 GBP. Additionally, for any collectors out there, a vinyl version of So Let Us Melt is available for preorder on Black Screen Records with a few different package options.
