Noriyuki Iwadare’s latest dating sim soundtrack revealed
Between his high-profile roles on the Ace Attorney, Grandia, and Langrisser franchises, Noriyuki Iwadare has also worked on a bunch of dating simulation games: True Love Story, Amagami, and Photokano to name a few.
In these works, the composer usually adopts his trademark musicianship to create mostly solid soundtracks blending sentimental acoustic themes and pop-flavoured ditties with various vocal tracks. These soundtracks are often very popular in Japan, but understandably haven’t much of a wide Western audience.
His latest soundtrack is the RecoLove Original Soundtrack. The album features the music from two Japan-only PlayStation Vita exclusives that were simultaneously released by Kadokawa Games last year, RecoLove: Gold Beach and RecoLove: Blue Ocean. It will feature 78 tracks from the games, including a range of background music and a series of ending themes sung by the game’s eleven seiyuus.
TWOFIVE Records will present the album in audio DVD format rather than the more conventional CD format. Retailing at 3240 JPY, the album will be released on March 29.
