Ludvig Forssell announced as Death Stranding composer

According to a Tweet by Hideo Kojima today, and a followup confirmation by Forssell himself, Ludvig Forssell will be scoring Kojima’s upcoming Death Stranding, a dark, mysterious open-world RPG starring Norman Reedus and Madds Mikkelsen as the game’s protagonist and antagonist, respectively.

Forssell is most well known as the main composer behind Metal Gear Sold V: The Phantom Pain, which also featured Harry Gregson-Williams for small portions of the score. Forssell’s music can be found on the original TGA trailer of Death Stranding below, mentioned in Kojima’s original Tweet.

About the Author

A native and lifelong Texan, I currently work in software education while contributing news, reviews, and interviews to VGMO on the side. I love the feeling that comes with the discovery of a brand new soundtrack, and always look forward to the next rekindling of that excitement. Outside of VGMO, I enjoy playing piano, listening to classical music and film scores, and trying to go unnoticed in any stealth RPG I can find.

YES! That’s what I was hoping to hear! From just a few seconds of synth in the teaser I really felt like it was him.
